Days 1-2 Vancouver

(Wed., Dec. 17 & Thu., Dec. 18) Your first evening, meet your traveling companions and Tour Director at a 6 p.m. WELCOME RECEPTION. Next day, a Vancouver city tour includes the harbor area, Chinatown, and Stanley Park

Days 3-4Vancouver–Rocky Mountaineer®–Kamloops–Banff

(Fri., Dec. 19 & Sat., Dec. 20) Board your ROCKY MOUNTAINEER train for a 2-day, all-daylight, classic rail journey featuring onboard holiday festivities and live musical entertainment. Travel through the land of a million Christmas trees in Fraser Valley, surrounded by snow-covered mountains and postcard-perfect winter scenery. Arrive in Kamloops for the night. Next day, continue on the train into the mighty Canadian Rockies over Rogers Pass, through Kicking Horse Canyon and Yoho National ParkYoho National Park’s Spiral Tunnels, and past magnificent glaciers into BANFF NATIONAL PARK. Your hotel is the Banff Springs Hotel, styled after a Scottish baronial castle. Few hotels in the world rival its majesty and scenery. (B,L)

Day 5Banff National Park

(Sun., Dec. 21) Enjoy a free day exploring Banff National Park. Possible activities include a Johnston Canyon ice walk, snowshoeing, skiing, and wildlife viewing. (B,D)

Day 6Banff National Park–Lake Louise

(Mon., Dec. 22) Transfer to legendary Chateau Lake Louise, situated next to majestic mountains soaring skyward and glacier-fed Lake Louise. Perhaps take a sleigh ride, do some snowshoeing, ice skate on Lake Louise, or enjoy stargazing by a nighttime fire. (B,D)

Day 7Lake Louise–Calgary

(Tue., Dec. 23) Travel to Calgary for a sightseeing tour of the major sights, including Stampede Park and Saddledome Stadium. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a special GLOBUS FAREWELL CELEBRATION DINNER. (B,D)

Day 8 Calgary

(Wed., Dec. 24) Your vacation ends with guests departing on individual schedules. (B)
